Since 2007, Florida Institute for Angiography's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory has been one of the safest and most reliable Catheterization Laboratory's in Sarasota. With a recent change of ownership, we are bringing 20+ years of experience in managing and performing interventional procedures, intra-procedure patient monitoring, and anesthesia services. This will allow us to bring the accreditation of our facility to a level II surgical office. Our mission at fiaHeart is to improve outcomes and safety of patients, while providing a state of the art cardiac/vascular interventional laboratory for our physicians. Performing over 8,000 procedures since 2007, the fiaHeart health care team is highly experienced, compassionate and dedicated.
Our Staff
Mike Ray, LPN RCIS
Michael earned his bachelor of science degree from Northeastern University in Boston in 1979. Upon moving to Florida he attended the Suncoast Technical college in Sarasota where he received his LPN degree and began working on the cardiac units at Sarasota Memorial Hospital until he obtained a position in the cardiac cath lab where he remained for 10 years. After gaining experience in the field he moved on to work at fiaHeart and became an RCIS (registered cardiovascular invasive specialist). He has been involved in all aspects of diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as diagnostic and interventional peripheral procedures. Over the past eleven years he has also taken emergency call in the cardiac cath labs at the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. Michael is an integral part of our team, with over 10,000 procedures performed and decades of experience he has earned the trust and respect of both physicians and patients.
